Hi, this is Zephyr Clarke-Dolberg a certified professional dog trainer with In this clip we are going to show how to stop a dog from biting. You will need a dog. Now, in Ria's case she is a very sweet dog but she gets excited easily. So you noticed what happens is if I pet her like this, she will have a tendency to want to put her mouth on me. Okay. As opposed to when I pet her like this which tends to calm her. So what I am going to do is I am going to elicit that biting behavior from her by petting her in a way that elicits that bite. And then I am going to correct it. Alright, good, good, hi, hi. So you see she wants, she gets excited she wants to put her mouth on me. What I am going to do is I am going to get my hand inside of her mouth, alright and, come here. Get my hand inside of her mouth, I'm up underneath her chin. She wants to kiss me instead. So if my hand was in her mouth, I would come up underneath, come here, and kind of give her a bop. You know she is a sweetheart and she really just wants to love so that's part of the problem there. But in general it works. And what happens is they lick immediately after at which point you can praise. This has been Zephyr Clarke-Dolberg thanks for watching.
