Hello, this is Chef Peter Ryan of Cook Street School of Culinary Arts in Denver, Colorado. Today, I'm going to talk to you about how to use a roaster pan. When it comes to choosing your roaster pan, keep in mind that you want to choose a roaster pan that is large enough to hold your product. In this case, we have a ham roast, and as you can see the roasting pan is quite large enough to roast our pan. Roaster pans come in all different shapes and sizes and metals, whether it be aluminum, such as this, stainless steel or even cast iron. Typically, a roaster pan comes with a rack, whether it be horizontal or vertical to keep your product elevated from the bottom of the pan. What's great about roasting pans is that they can go right from your countertop into your oven for your specific amount of time to do your roasting needs. That's it. That's how you use your roasting pan.
