Hi I'm Charlotte Lawson, a registered, licensed dietitian here in Tampa Bay, Florida. How to eat a healthy breakfast is one of the most important things you can do for yourself. First off, don't skip breakfast. It provides energy off of an eight hour fast that you've had nothing to eat, and how to eat healthy is actually as simple as looking outside the box. We automatically assume that we have to have, you know, eggs and bacon and cereal and all these wonderful breakfast foods, which isn't always the case. Even a peanut butter and jelly sandwich is a great substitute for a fast breakfast on the road, or maybe that leftover spaghetti from the night before. It may seem a little bit odd, but it still provides a nutritious meal for us at the beginning of that day. So, think outside the box, choose things that are fast and healthy, and always try to prepare a different array of things, a good amount of protein, whole grains and a carbohydrate, like a fruit or something, is an excellent, well-rounded meal, and again, even if you're running out of time, try to grab something. I would say even a granola bar or something on the side is better than nothing at all. Consider your body not having any energy for almost eight hours at night. How can we prepare for a day when we may not eat again for another eight hours? So first off, don't skip breakfast, and again, think outside the box and choose what you can. If it's something small, it's better than nothing at all. So, eat that healthy breakfast and have happy eating. I'm Charlotte. Thanks for stopping by.
