Hi, I'm Charlotte Lawson, a registered, licensed dietitian here in Tampa Bay, Florida. And everybody always asks, how can I keep eating healthy when I am so busy and always on the run? Well, I am definitely a good one to ask, because my busy life sends me all over the place. The first thing I can say is always to plan. If you can prepare a meal ahead of time, knowing that you are going to be out of the house the next day, that's your best bet. Always pack meals that are easy to go, and maybe don't need a lot of refrigeration, that way they won't spoil. Even a simple peanut butter and jelly sandwich made the night before can act as a good snacker; even a fast breakfast in the morning when you are running late for work. So, try to plan, think of different options. Bring fast foods, like, fast foods meaning fruit or easy quick snacks you would have gotten from the grocery store. These are all different options that you can have to take with you when you are out and on the go. And if you do have to stop and purchase things, try to think healthier there too. Try smaller portions, healthier foods like your baked or grilled things, and that way you are getting a good variety, but you are still also out there and about, and using what you have to do.
