Hi, my name is Tanya Batts. I'm a Personal Trainer at Gold's Gym. I want to show you how you can use an elliptical machine. The things you will need for this are: an elliptical machine, some space and some good shoes. Elliptical machines are fantastic. If you got any knee injuries and you just need that low impact, this is smooth as soap and your thighs really start to burn. The beauty of this machine is you can increase the resistance. You have the option of using the handles or no. You can put them right here. But you're getting the upper body if you use the handles and the lower body. Another great thing about the elliptical is you can reverse it. So, you can just, kind of back pedal. Soft knees; using the upper body if you want or no. If you just want the leg work and the cardio work, just hold onto the handles. So, ellipticals are fantastic. If you're kind of just starting to workout, you want to get in the gym, burn some serious calories. Now, this is a great thing about this machine. It tells you how many calories you're burning. Increase resistance or no resistance at all. But, it's a great way to lose weight, burn calories. Whew! And that's the beauty of elliptical machine. So, that's just a few ways and a few things you can do at the gym to really get in shape really quick.
