Hello, I'm Sue Walker and I'm going to show you how to get cakes out of Bundt pans. Baking with a Bundt pan can be very tricky and frustrating if the cake does not come out of the pan in one solid piece. Here are some suggestions to help you get the cake out of the pan in one piece. You will need about a tablespoon of shortening for greasing the pans and some flour for flouring the pans. First of all, make sure you grease the bottom of the pan thoroughly. Get the grease into all the nooks and crannies of the pan. Then, sprinkle generously with flour and pat it around. Dump out the excess flour. When you're cake is done, take it out of the oven and set it on a cooling rack. Let it set for ten to fifteen minutes. Loosen the sides gently with a knife, making sure not to cut into the cake. Place a plate over the top of the cake, then holding onto both the pan and the plate, invert the cake onto the plate. The cake should easily come out of the pan. And that is how to get cakes out of Bundt pans.
