Hi, I'm Robert Evans, Owner of Evans Hairstyling College in St. George, Utah. Today, we're going to do a buzz cut. Summer days get hot, moms want to buzz your head off; this is how we're going to do it, with a simple use of a clipper. Now, the clipper has different guards, different lengths that you want to use. We'll start here with the number two. Grab your clipper guard; we're using number two. Snap it on our clipper, turn on the power; here we go. Taking my time and just follow the head, the way the hair grows, all the way up. Now, this is an Army haircut. Work our way up this way, take your time; there's no hurry. We don't want to pull the hair, we just want to cut it. Work our way up, follow the form of the head. Now, if we want a little tighter clip, we'll take this guard off; turn the power off, take the guard off, grab a number one. Snap the number one on straight, adjust the length, turn the power; here we go. A little tighter. Working our way up the head. Also, with this blade, we're following the contour of the head as we work our way up, as we do this buzz cut. I like to use the hair wet; it helps the blades move. It's not itchy on your client, and it's heavier and falls right to the floor. Last, but not least, with that sun wants a close kit shave, we do a zero. A double zero on the blades, put that on the head and we go right to the skin. Saves you on shampoo, but you're going to have to pay for sunscreen, so you don't get a sunburned head. And that's how you do a buzz cut.
