Hi, my name is Tanya Batts and I'm a personal trainer at Gold's Gym. How to lose five pounds in a week. The things you will need for this are a mat, some space, a treadmill and some weights. Alrighty then, lots of cardio, we're talking you get up in the morning, you want to go for a run for like 30 minutes if you can do it, or just 20. Drink plenty of water. You want to go out and eat the small meals. You don't want to do the big huge meals, just like six small meals throughout the day. Carbs, you really want to have to think about your calories and your caloric intake. You might want to cut those calories in half. If you're trying to lose five pounds in a week, you've got to cut the calories in half. So, once you do that you don't want to cut out your carbs because you need your carbs for energy. You can't cut out your protein. You need them for fuel. So, you really want to think about just how much you are eating. Be really careful. Watch your sugar intake, that's a big one, alright. And then strength training, grab you some weights because I'll tell you what, strength training is building your bone density. It's really helping you lose the weight. So, I'm going to start with a little jab, because if you really are trying to lose five pounds in a week, you've got to get cardio up. You mix cardio with strength training, it's fantastic. So, I'm doing the strength training, but I'm doing it with gusto, and it's really going to increase the heart rate. So, I've got the weights and I'm going to step off to the side. You ready? Just going to step and bring it back. I'm doing one side. So, you get the little bit of weight training. It's tightening up your butt and then you want to do the other side. So, the last thing is running. I'm going to put the weights down. So, you've got the strength training, watching what you eat and you've got to run. If you want to lose weight, jogging, 30 minutes a day, in the morning, 30 minutes a day in the afternoon. So, we're talking, you've got to do a whole lot of cardio if you want to lose five pounds in a week. Maybe hitting the gym twice a day, and I know it sounds like a lot, but losing five pounds in a week is a lot. Kind of dangerous, kind of scary. Be real careful. Make sure you're drinking plenty of water every time you exercise. Don't cut out carbs. Don't cut out protein, but you'll start shedding those pounds in a week.
