Hello, my name is Conan Elliott and I'm Director of Instruction here at Camas Meadows Golf Club here in Camas, Washington. Today we're going to talk about how does a golf cart work. Well, golf carts work just like an automobile, just like a car. We have a steering wheel, four wheels on the cart, gas feed, brakes, emergency brake, on and off switch, just like with a key, reverse and forward buttons. So literally you drive it just as you would an automobile. So, turn your key on, put your gear in whether you want to go forward or reverse, push the gas to go, push the brake to stop. The little button on top that says P sets the emergency when you stop. They're mostly run by batteries now. There are still gas models, but they do have battery parts which are run off four large batteries that are charged every night and they're controlled, the speed control and everything works just like an automobile. This is Conan Elliott, and that's how a golf cart works.
