Hi, I am Sue Walker, and I am going to show you easy caramel apple pie recipes. The ingredients are four cups of peeled and sliced Granny Smith apples, one half cup caramel ice cream topping, one cup of sugar, one teaspoon of cinnamon, one tablespoon of flour, one-fourth cup of apple juice or water, and two tablespoons of cold butter cut into six pieces. You will also need a double crust pastry dough. Mix your cinnamon, sugar, and flour together, add it to the apples and stir. Sprinkle the apple juice over the apple mixture, and stir. Roll out two circles of your pie dough on a floured surface. Place one circle in the pie plate, and pat it in with your fingers. Leave the excess dough over the edges, now you can pour in your pie filling, dot with your cold butter. Drizzle the apples with the caramel ice cream topping. Place the second pie dough circle over the top, and cut off the excess on the edges. Do this by rolling the top edge under the bottom edge, and then you crimp it with your fingers. Take a knife and cut a two-inch slit in the top of the dough to vent it while it bakes. Place the pie in the oven for fifteen minutes at four-hundred and twenty-five degrees. After fifteen minutes, reduce the oven temperature to three-hundred and fifty degrees and bake for one more hour, or hour and a half, until done. Remove from oven and let cool. And that is an easy caramel apple pie recipe.
