"Hello, I'm Russ and I'm here today with Todd, with the Salt Lake City Bicycle Collective. Online at www.slcbikecollective.org and today we're going to talk about road bike sizing a little bit. The one that Todd has here at the moment is going to be a little bit too big for him. The way that we measure road bikes as far as the frame size is concerned, is you would want to get a rules and you measure from the center of the bolt right here up to the top of the seat post and that will indicate the frame size. This one's about a 62 probably, which is a little bit too big for Todd. So, now we're going to move down the line and maybe try a different size. This one right here is somewhere around a 47, maybe a 49. You can see he's got way too much clearance, the distance from the seat to the handle bars is probably much too short. So this one's not going to work out for him either. So we're going to look for hopefully the last one. The last one, that might work good. This one right here is probably about the right size, maybe somewhere around a 58, something like that. He's got a little bit of clearance there, about an inch, maybe two and then when he goes ahead and gets up on the seat there, he can see that he's got just enough room with his leg bent to have enough room to be able to create a good pedal situation for him pedaling and good distance to the handle bar there. Looks pretty comfortable, feels pretty confidant and out on the road."
