Hey, we are talking about patterns in writing the best persuasive speech you can. And now I want to talk about Comparative Advantage Pattern. Now this is a little similar to Problem Solution, but it's a little different. The first thing that you probably want to do in this pattern is to talk about status quo, and what status quo is is what we have right now. Right now we have a fifteen minute break to get from one end of campus to the other, right now we have a thirty minute lunch break, whatever it is: status quo. That's going to be the first thing you talk about. Then talk about how to change it and how your change is superior to status quo. Okay, this is what we have. This is better. Better. Better, yes. And then the last thing that you're going to talk about is Why. Again, similar to Problem Solution. Why this is superior to the status quo. Now, you're going to need to be able to demonstrate this. Meaning, not just talking about how you feel. Okay. This is where your evidence is going to come in. You're going to demonstrate through evidence that the change is better than what we have right now.
