This particular backhoe is equipped with what is called an extend a hoe. It extends the stick that the bucket is attached to so you can reach out another five or six feet. And sometimes that's really helpful in areas that you're almost close enough but you can't quite reach. So you can mash your pedal which activates the extend a hoe, extend it out then bring the pedal back and that brings it back in. Always know your weight capacity. The further you stick your extend a hoe out the more you put weight further away from your center of your machine. So if you swing it to the side especially, know if you've got a full bucket of dirt and swing it to the side that it's adding more weight and could cause your machine to tip. So always be careful about your weight capacity especially on a side swing.
