Hello, my name is Amy Salinger and I’m a New York City Fashion Stylist. I’ve worked or appeared on such shows as The Today Show; What Not to Wear; Ambush Makeover; The Makeover Story, and I also have a personal clientele that loves me and keeps coming back to me, because I know how to make a real woman look fabulous on not a million dollars. That’s kind of my forte. Buy what you need; use what you have. You may be wondering why my friend Sarah and I are dressed like this right now. Besides the fact that it’s always fun to play dress-up, I’m actually here to show you today how to look fabulous, as if you’re on a Hollywood red carpet. Sarah and I decided to go vintage because we love to search for our next great find, and both of our dresses are actually vintage dresses. The great story behind Sarah’s dress is that it used to be floor-length, but she didn’t think it was going to be as useful, so she chopped off the bottom and made it into a great cocktail party dress. This option is good for a more casual red carpet because we all have so many of those to go to. I went all-out Hollywood glam, between the fur stole, the floor-length dress, and of course, fabulous shiny baubles. You can’t have a dress, show off those baubles, without fabulous shiny baubles. It’s very important when you’re going all-out Hollywood glam, and it’s not that difficult when you own the right pieces, and you search through those fabulous racks of clothing. If you put it all together correctly, just like Sarah and I are showing you how to do, you too can look like you’re walking down the Hollywood red carpet.
