Hi, this is Yolanda Vanveen, and in this segment we're going to talk about how to grow leeks. Now, the materials that you will need are either leek seeds or a leek plant, and you get 'em right from the grocery store, as long as they've got roots and they look fresh. First step, pick a location that' full sun and has good drainage, like a nice vegetable bed, and plant your leeks about three inches deep so the roots are covered about three inches. Next step, you can pull up the plants or even cut the plant halfway down and leave the roots in the ground, and that way it'll grow and comeback every year, and even multiply so you'll get lots more leek plants. They're bulbs, just like a garlic, very easy to grow. So leeks are really easy to grow, as long as you give 'em lots of sun and good drainage. And, you can buy the starts right from the grocery store, or you can start 'em right from seed. They're really that easy to grow.
