Hello I'm Tony Ingle, basketball coach at Kennesaw State University. We are a Division I school here in Georgia. This is a game that's internationally known as "Around the World". Some people call it "Around the Horn". Some people call it say "Around the Arena" but what you have, you have the beginning shot is right here by the basket. You must make this shot. You don't get two chances at this shot but what you do, you shoot here, then you'll move to this block. There's a big block on the court and then you'll make a shot. If you miss it, you say I want to chance it. If you chance it and you make it then you move to the next block and so forth and I want to demonstrate with Jeff. Jeff here we go. Jeff is going to shoot. Tony I want you to rebound. Alright, he made the first one. He will now go to the second block. Now he goes to the next one. Basically just building his shot. He goes to the next spot and then he goes to the next one and then here, alright see now he missed it. So this right here is the time when you miss, then you go here and this is the game that you are teaching them. Do you want to chance it? Because if you chance it and make it, you get to go to the foul line and keep going around the horn. If you were to miss it you have to start all the way over and then your opponent is going to come on the court. What do you want to do? I want to chance it. He's going to chance it. Here we go. This is "Around the World". So he goes up, boom. He didn't make it. Alright, now Tony goes, Tony starts, here we go. You go one, he goes two and all he is doing is building your shot and it teaches you accuracy. As you are working on your accuracy. You are working on your form and then you will keep moving. He comes to the foul line. This is very basic. Now he'll come to the next spot. Now he has went further than Jeff did so now do you want to chance it? He wants to chance it. Here's the chance and it gets exciting, hoo, there it is, hoo, there it is. So he is chancing it, boom, there he is. He's coming around. He's got one more, here he goes. He's got this one and now he's got one more. Here we go. He has got to make this shot and I've actually seen people miss this shot but there he goes. Hoo, there he is and now you have saw how to play "Around the World". A great game for kids to learn how to improve their skill and have fun in the process. Good to be out with mom, dad, brother, sister, neighbor, anybody that you can beat.
