The most important thing in this process here is to decide something that you really really passionate about; because this process is not easy. If you're passionate about what it is that you want to get the grant money for; that will make it a lot easier for you and will keep you on track, keep you motivated and keep you going. So let's say you're passionate about wanting to put together a youth program. That's in your heart and in your soul. You start to identify what it is exactly that you want to provide for the community and there are a few different routes that you can get to, to get this done. You can get a grant writer. Now grant writers either work on spec which means after they've written the grant for you; they make out at a percentage of the grant that you've decided upon beforehand or you may have to, you may have to pay a grant writer right upfront. Or you can try it yourself. This maybe a little challenging; but there's a website that you could go to to check this out and that's www.mygovernment.grant.com. Try it yourself. If you're passionate about it, you stay on track; you work with the financial aspect of it; you will get your grant.
