Step 1
Threading the HookThe first step to tying a fishing hook knot is to thread the line through the eye of the hook about three inches.
-
Step 2
Twisted LineOnce your hook is threaded you want grab the end that you threaded through and fold it over so the hook is suspended between the two sides of the line, like a pendant on a necklace, and twist the hook several times so that the lines wrap around each other.
-
Step 3
The First HoleThe next step after twisting is to take the end that you threaded through and push it through the small hole in the line that formed above the hooks eye when you twisted your line.
-
Step 4
The Second HoleOnce you have manage to thread your line through the first hole you will want to do the same thing to the loop that was created by the previous step.
-
Step 5
The Fishing Hook KnotAfter you have threaded through the hook, twisted the line and threaded the line through the two loops you can grab the end of the line and pull the hook until your knot slides down to the eye of the hook, making a tight fishing hook knot.
-
Step 6
Trimmed and Ready to FishThe final step you have to complete is simply trimming off the excess line until you have a centimeter or so left.
