"Hi! My name is Marika Neumann and today I'm going to talk a little bit about using a green screen for photography. You easily make your own green screen by going to your local fabric store and buying a large piece of green fabric. Also, any kind of green will usually work, but you'll want to pick a green that's as far away from your skin tone as possible. Once you have your green screen, you'll want to hang it against a really solid surface. You'll want to make sure the fabric is wrinkle free, smooth and free of shadows. You'll also want to make sure the green screen is put in a well lit area which is one of the key factors in using green screen for photography. Next you're going to want to put your subject in front of the green screen and making sure that they're surrounded by green on all sides. And so that they're not casting any kind of shadows on the green screen itself. Once you're done taking your pictures, you'll then be able to transfer them into your computer. Once you've done this, use a program such as Adobe Photoshop to take the green screen out and replace it with a background of your choice. Once you have your picture, open in Photoshop. You'll use the magic wand tool to select the green. You can also do some feathering to soften the edges. Then to remove the green, you hit the Delete button. After this, you can import any background of your choice and slide it behind your subject. And that is how you use green screen for photography."
