"Hi, I'm Lizbeth Muller and I'm a professional hairstylist with LizsHairDesign.com. In this clip I'm going to show you how to style and up-do. You'll need a comb; you'll need some hairspray. You need pins; you'll need a flat iron. So the first step would be is add body to the hair before a nice up-do. Good up-do has some kind of volume or body I feel. Unless it's completely straight straight hair and you want to maybe do something funky with the straight pieces of strand in the hair. But put body in the hair, put volume in there with the flat iron, curling iron; okay; or you can roller set the hair. Now what I want to do is, I want to go ahead and comb the hair, making it nice and neat; adding some hairspray to the hair to smooth out the edges, give it some kind of control. Now she's got some nice good bounce; some curls in there; she's going to be a a perfect candidate . We're going to take it over here like this; comb it underneath and I'm going to proceed to twist my hands my hands under the hair; like a French twist or French roll 'cause I want the curls on the top like a style. Then I'm going to go ahead and pin the hair; pin the hair straight down. Just continue to pin it and as much as you can; as tight as you can especially if the hair is heavy. The best control that you have is just by pinning it straight. Sometimes you want to line pin straight down if the hair is very heavy. I'm just going to go ahead and twist it or curl it in the hair and placing it like this; fixing your design on the top or your curls however you want it; making it nice and pretty here. Smooth out those edges; make sure that sure that it's nice and smooth. So she has a, a style in the front and pushing it forward. You might want to secure it with a few pins; but this is how you go ahead and do an up-do. This has been Lizbeth Muller; thank you for watching."
