Hello! This is Conan Elliott, director of Instruction here at Camas Meadows Golf Club in Camas, Washington. Today we're going to talk about how to keep a scramble scorecard. Well, the materials we need for this are standard scorecard, pencil, and a group that's playing a tournament on scramble golf. Scramble's one of the most popular team games there is in golf especially for tournaments that are for charities and stuff like that, a lot of business people playing. It's pretty simple. Rather than counting every time you're hitting the ball by each person, what we do is on the first tee everybody will tee off then you pick which shot you feel is the best shot, and that counts as one as your drive. Then everyone plays from that spot the next shot. The next shot you hit, say to the green, so you'd pick the best shot and from that position you would pick which spot you wanted to putt until the ball went in the hole. So each one of those spots just count as one rather than the stroke from everyone else. So most of the time in scrambles you'll see birdies are very popular, eagles happen a lot. This good scores in scrambles usually are well under par, 15-18 under maybe to win a tournament. So it's really brings everyone into the game and it makes everyone important in the game.
