How to Wear a Karate Uniform

"Hi my name is Missan Edwards and my husband, Doug Edwards. We are the owners of ETO Martial Arts and Fitness in Kennesaw, Georgia. In the Martial Arts there is various styles of uniforms as well as different colors that are allowed to be worn at certain belt levels. Now at ETO we have black uniforms if you are a black belt and then white uniforms for under belts. Now this particular uniform is a V neck uniform which is most similar in Tae Kwon Do styles that allow you to wear the V in Olympic-style training and we have the traditional wrap around which is this white with black and I'll show you how this one puts on. You take your right side and you just tuck it under and there is actually some ties that help keep it in place, then you take your left side over the right and you complete your ties. You have a smooth surface and then for your final piece the most prized possession is your belt. So you place it at center, make sure you wrap it so that you have one end of the belt on top of the other on the back so once again it is smooth. You tuck the lower end over both belts and then you take the top and make that pretty knot showing your school and your name."
