"Hi, I'm Chris Murray; a professional soccer player with the Wilmington Hammerheads and I'm going to give you some tips on improving your acceleration in soccer. The materials that you'll need for improving your acceleration are: a pair of soccer cleats or running shoes; a small area to do some sprint work and jumping work and maybe some resistance bands. In soccer it's very important to be able to accelerate past defenders, so that you can't be caught. By improving your acceleration, you improve many parts of your game. The first part of your game that you can improve is dribbling. Dribbling a soccer ball is a fine art and can be notice on all, on every aspect of the game. Improving your acceleration can consist of many different things. The first thing can just be short sharp sprints. By doing short sharp sprints, you build your; you build your leg muscles up to where they can fire at any point during the game. Being able to have your muscles strong enough so that you can accelerate past defenders is very good. Another way to improve your acceleration is by doing a lot of jumping. A lot of jumping also builds the strength within your legs and in, and within your core. By having a strong core and a strong muscular base, you'll be very fast and be able to accelerate past anyone else on the field. Another way to improve your acceleration is to work with rubber bands or big stretch bands. By having this resistance behind you and pulling your weigh through also builds your legs and your core muscles. By building all these muscles are very important way in improving your acceleration."
