"Hi I am Erica, I am in Atlanta, Georgia, and I am going to talk to you today about how to get your baby to sleep with a pacifier. Now some parents don't like using pacifiers, some parents can't live without them. If you choose to use a pacifier be sure that you find one that fits your baby. They have several different sizes, and several different nipple sizes that fit for each baby. So if your baby does not like a certain one, but you really want them to use one just find a different brand, and just try out different ones. Once you find one that they do use, and that they do like just be sure that you put it in their mouth, and make sure that they are not hungry, and that their diaper is changed, and that they are ready for bed. Go ahead and put it in their mouth, and just kind of rock them to sleep, and make sure that they're calm, and everything like that. And as you are rocking them to sleep be sure that your baby is not all the way to sleep before you lay them down. Be sure that they are half awake that way they get use to falling asleep in their own bed, and they don't rely on you to rock them to sleep or they don't rely on the pacifier to get them to sleep. So once you lay the baby down, and they are almost most asleep try to take out the pacifier that way they don't get use to it always being in their mouth. That way they don't become attached to it. And then once you do that cover them up, make sure the blanket is snug abound their body. That way they can't roll around or move, especially when they are an infant. Be sure that the room is warm, and that the lights are dim, and that it is quiet enough for the baby to go to sleep."
