Hello, I'm Rachael Richardson, I'm a licensed nutritionist and a registered dietitian with Nutrolution.com. Let's talk about how to use Calcium Pyruvate . Well, first of all, what is Calcium Pyruvate , is a good question to start with. Calcium Pyruvate is a form of calcium and it's a form that's specifically more effective in the Mitochondrial health of your cells, Mitochondria produce energy. We all need energy and energy is also equates to weight loss. So using more energy means that we can lose weight a little bit more quickly, a little bit more effectively. So that's one of the main functions of Calcium Pyruvate. Also, other forms of calcium that can help other forms of the body, including Calcium Pyruvate, other functions are muscle and nervous system relaxation, including sleep, and just kind of feeling restful and peaceful and happy. Also, calcium is used for brain health, it's used for your bone health, of course, we all know that, that's what we think of calcium as the first purpose. But actually, the bones are actually more of a reservoir for calcium, because calcium is so important in the body for all the other functions. One of the most important functions that we need calcium for, is to maintain our acid base balance, and that means our pH level. So we have to maintain a very, very specific and crucial pH level, all day and all night, every minute, every second, every millisecond of our lives in order to stay alive. And if that pH goes off balance, we can actually die, almost instantaneously. It could be Alkanosis or Acidosis, I believe. And basically, calcium is the mineral in the body that we use to neutralize our pH, so to bring it from high acid back to a healthier neutral pH level in our body, so it's alkaline. And so what we want to do is, we always want to get plenty of calcium through our diet. So some of the foods that you can find rich levels of calcium in, are your nuts, your seeds, your almond butter, your walnut butter, Macadamia nut butter, all your different trail mixes. As well as your vegetables and fruits and any vegetable or fruit or nut that's grown in soil that is rich in calcium.
