Reduce allergies to dander in pets with health information from an immunologist in this free video on allergies.
"Hi my name is Dr. Ana Lamas and I am a practicing allergist and immunologist in the Miami area. Let's talk about how to prevent dander allergies. That's a very interesting topic because we as Americans are tremendous pet cat and dog lovers so to prevent allergies to our furry friends it is important first and foremost to have avoidance in the bedroom. Ideally the animal should be outside but if that is impossible the animal has to be kept out of the bedroom. The animal has to be washed, ideally it is recommended especially for cats, once a week which is not easy to do and we have to be able to keep that animal off of upholstered furniture, have no carpeting in the home so that the dander is not trapped in that carpet. Once these measures have been undertaken most patients will be able to live and cohabitate their home with an animal."
