"Hi this is Yolanda Vanveen and in this segment we are going to talk about how to grow Anaheim Peppers. Now peppers can come in many shapes and sizes and they're really easy to grow and you can start them in the Spring, that's the best time is as soon as the nights are getting warm, you don't want to start them too early because they are more of a tropical plant. So if you start them right after the last frost they are not going to do much so I have found it is better to wait at least until May or even June before you start them. You have got to wait until the weather is pretty warm and then it will do much better. On the Anaheim Pepper too you can get them in a pod already growing or you can start them by seed and when you are starting them by seed again wait until it has warmed up a little bit and you just make like a trough into some soil. You can do it right into a sunny spot is the best. You never want to put them in a shady spot. They need heat, intense heat, and you just want to sprinkle them into the hole and cover them up just one or two inches, not even too deep and you'll find that they'll come right up. Now it's getting into Fall. I've got beautiful peppers on this pepper plant so by starting seeds this late, they're not really going produce probably any fruit before Winter hits but it's better to start them like I said in the middle of Summer and you can even start them I'd say even into July because you'll still get a huge crop of them by September, October even into November if you live in a milder climate. So peppers, especially Anaheim peppers are a great addition to your vegetable garden."
