"Hi, I'm Tracy Prentiss of Montague, Massachusetts and I'm going to show you how to use superscripts in Microsoft Word 2007. Some superscripts are put in automatically for you by Word. If I type something like second as soon as I hit the space bar, Words' auto correct feature will format the "nd" to be superscripted for me. For things that are less common you are going to have to do the superscript yourself. For example if I needed to type in an equation like e = mc2, my 2 is not a superscript so it is not looking like a squared symbol. To superscript this I highlight the 2, on the home tab in the ribbon within the font group there is a button for superscript. When I click on it the 2 becomes superscripted and I have created my own superscript, and that is how you create as superscript in Microsoft Word."
