"Hello, Alexis Neubert of Alexis Design and this is how to make a graduation invitation. You want to use a layout program that incorporates graphics, images and text, something like Adobe InDesign which is what I'll be using today. I've created a page here for a fold over card that would fold to a size of four and a quarter by six. So in order to do that, you want to double that size of four and a quarter, so that our page size is eight and a half by six. And then you an put some margins down the center, and you have basically, three or four panels to work with. So with the fold over card, the front of our card would be the right hand panel on the first page. You can use your Type Tool on the left hand tool palate to create a Text Box. Start out with your text, type it in, select it, you an use your top Tool Bar here to select the font that you want. Select the type size, maybe you want to do something a little bit more formal like an Italic. And then maybe there's a graphic or photo that you want to put on the front. So I have a graphic that I've found, just a simple graduation cap. You can use your top palate here to resize with percentages or you can use your scale tool on the left by pulling on one of the corners. And if you hold down the shift key while you do that, it'll keep your image proportionate while you scale. Put your text and graphics together. When you're ready to move on to the inside of your card, you go on to page two, and you want to place your main text again, on the right hand panel. On a standard invitation, the left hand panel would be blank and so would the back. So go ahead and type in you basic text, the event, the location, time, and then maybe any RSVP information, maybe not necessary for a graduation invite. But if it's a graduation party, you may want some RSVP. You can again, choose your font, maybe this is a real graduation. Adjust the size and then add in any RSVP information at the bottom. If you want to change the orientation of your text, you an select the text box or the text inside the box, and use these buttons here for left justify, center, right justify. Traditionally, invitations have center text on the inside, you can adjust where it starts. And that's how you make a graduation invitation."
