"I am Alexis Neubert of Alexis Design and this is how to make a digital collage. We are going to use Adobe InDesign although you could do the same thing in Photoshop using layers instead of different picture boxes. We are going to create a document I will just use a standard size eight and a half by eleven. Find our group of images that we want to use, we can select them all at once, and drag and drop onto the page. InDesign will place them one at a time, each time you click. Then once you have them all on the page you can resize if need be, you can select all the images at once and either use your scale tool on the side, or from the top tool pallet you can use the percentages to scale which I find easiest when doing several pictures at once. And we can move our images around to see how we want to lay them out, you may want to crop some, and just move the sides of your picture box in. If you want to resize your picture again use the scale tool on the side or the percentages in the top when you have your picture box selected. Then we can start arranging our photos how we want them on the page you might want to overlap them, you might want to change the shape of one of your picture box and you can go to the object menu and choose convert shape. I am going to pick the ellipse. And if you want to change the order of your photos front to back you can also go to the object menu choose "arrange" "bring to front" "send to back" and this will adjust the kind of layering effect that you have. Maybe you want to put in a background color, just draw one large box, send it to the back, and then choose a color from your color pallet over on the right side. If you want to add text to your document you choose the type tool from the tool pallet, drag to make a text box and then you can start typing, select your text change the font if you want, find the right size, you can change the color of your text. And that is how you make a digital collage."
