"Hey everyone I'm Brooke Burke with Modern Mom and I'm here with Cyvia Lewis, who is an amazing makeup artist, and today we're talking about how to get a really fresh look for daytime. And this is actually one of my favorite tips that you've taught me, it's cream blush. so go for it. Well, I think it is just easier a) when you're on the go or b) you want to use it as a foundation for blush later so you can put you know your powder over it and then reblush. Right now we just want to do a light-colored blush, so I've chosen just a real neutral light color and I'm just going to dab at the apples here. And I think when you have a lot of heavy eye makeup you don't really need a lot on your skin, but one of the reasons why I like cream blushes so much is because it soaks into your skin, as opposed to sitting on top of your skin. It doesn't give you that sort of matte, powdery look but it gives you a really natural healthy fresh look just in with a little bit of color which I really like and what I'm doing is I'm applying it at the apple of your cheek here just so the center has the most amount of color. Apples right? Yeah, apples here so that the most color will be right in the center and then I'm going outward in a circle so that I am blending and taking the color and just evenly distributing it so it blends out. And it's nice because it doesn't really look like there's blush on there, but it gives you a little bit of glow and I like that moist feeling. I like that look that's really fresh and moist and not just sort of a matte, powdery. I want to just show how easy it is to go from day time to night time and if you do need a little bit of color, creams sometimes you kind of have to get used to it and I know when you first showed me you can put too much on so I think the key is just to do a little bit of dab and then kind of work it, that's probably a little bit too much but then I can just sort of work it in and blend it, blending is definitely the key. Blending is like really important, and even if it feels like a little bit too much I can just keep working it and it actually goes right into the skin. I mean that's much darker but for night time or for a dim lit situation it just gives some really, really nice color, can you see the difference of having a little bit of a lighter cheek than actually having some color right there? It's a little bit of a flush look, right? Right, absolutely and if you feel like it's too much which that was a little bit you just keep working with it right? You can keep working with it or you can use this magic eraser here and just, dab a little bit off and the reason I like this is because it works right into your skin, as opposed to sitting on top of it, and I think it is a much healthier blush. I agree, what do you think, a little bit different? Nighttime? Daytime? Yeah? I love it."
