"Hello! I'm Adrien Matthews with Tayst Restaurant in Nashville, Tennessee. Today we're going to talk about the proper method of preparing an ice bucket for champagne. In order to prepare your bucket for champagne, you're going to need a bucket, some ice and a little bit of water, and a champagne bottle. Keeping champagne at a constant chilled temperature will increase your enjoyment of it tremendously. Let's look at the method of doing that. The wine bucket has been used for years in order to accomplish this. They're made of metal which keeps things nice and cool. I would first start by taking couple of scoops of ice. You want to fill the bucket up about halfway or so. And then add some water, about a cup, cup and a half worth. The combination of the water and the ice will keep a much colder and much more constant temperature. At that point you can go ahead and rest your champagne in it. And it will just sit there and stay perfectly chilled. If you're trying to chill champagne and you're somewhat impatient or maybe started late, you can use soda water instead of the regular water as this will make the temperature decrease much more quickly. That's how to properly prepare a champagne bucket. All that's left is to have a drink."
