Summary: I am going to show you how to make an inexpensive green screen studio for $20-$30. This is for people new to green screen, or need to make one ASAP. I will also show you how to apply your new desired background in sony vegas. Enjoy!

Instructions
  1. Step 1
    buy clear push pins to pin fabric to the wall

    Buy some green fabric from your local Wal-Mart or fabric store. buy 3 to 6 yards. Where I live it was less than $2.00 a yard. Also buy some push-pins with clear heads from Wal-Mart or your local office supply store (maybe even the dollar store)

  2. Step 2

    Take your fabric home and iron all the wrinkles out carefully. Then pin your fabric to the wall with the push pins where you will be doing your filming. (If the pins show up in your video later, you can always break the plastic off)

  3. Step 3

    Use lamps in your house and buy a utility lamp to add lighting. Try to spread your light evenly on the green fabric, and don't forget the light in front of you as well.

  4. Step 4

    Once your lighting is sufficient, film your scene to completion, then open it in Sony Vegas or your video editing software

  5. Step 5
    Use the chroma key effect in your editing software

    use the chroma key effect setting on your green screen footage, then add your new background in the video track below. Play with the settings until you get the desired effect. See video
