"With Kwikset installing new hardware on your door is easy as one, two, three. Here are the materials you will need to perform this at home, a Kwikset bed, bath lever kit with privacy function, a screwdriver, a tape measurer. You will first want to select the style of door lever for your bathroom door and the finish that best matches your decor. Kwikset offers a variety of styles and finishes to suit your needs. Now that you have selected new door hardware, it is time to remove the old hardware from your bathroom door. This is an easy process and can be done by removing the screws and prying and twisting the existing knob from the door as well as the existing strike plate on the jamb. New latches and strikes are provided with the Kwikset door hardware. Install the new latch by inserting it into the side of the door. Always make sure the slant of the latch bolt faces in the direction that the door closes. From the kit, disassemble the lever from the chassis with the set screw and Allen wrench, push in on the latch bolt to insert the lever, rotate the base plate to capture the screw and tighten with a screw driver. Finally install both levers over the locking mount, tighten the lever with the small wrench that comes with the kit and you're done. Next go ahead and install the new strike into the door jamb using a screw driver and tighten until it is flush. Tip, keep the small wrench handy for emergencies if you need to unlock the door and there you have it, a beautiful new door lever for the interior of your home. Now it's time to tackle the rest of those doors. Thank you for using Kwikset."
