"For the front door of your home we understand that security is every bit as important as style. To install a new handleset on your front door you will need the following materials. A Kiwkset handle set kit, a screwdriver, a tape measure. You will first want to select the style of handleset for your front door, and the finish that best matches your decor. To replace the existing hardware on your front door simply remove the old handleset, including the grip, deadbolt components, latches, and strike plates. Okay now let's prepare your new latches for installation. You can adjust the deadbolt latch easily to fit the backset of your door by extending the bolt, and rotating the front to lengthen. Install the deadbolt latch in the top hole of your door. Make sure the slant and the latch faces in the direction that the door closes. Using the small allen wrench go ahead and remove the interior level portion of your lever set, and cover from the lever assembly. Now you are ready to install the new handleset. Push the latch bolt in to insert the handleset. Simply align the system so that everything matches up. For the interior portion of the door go ahead, and install the interior lever assembly. Mount the base, and align the spindles accordingly. Rotate the mount counter clockwise to receive the screws. Once you have found a flush fit release to rotate it back clockwise, install the screws, and snap on the cover. Then install the lever onto the mount, and tighten the set screw with a provided allen wrench. Now install the deadbolt portion of your new handleset. Hold the exterior of the deadbolt in place, and install the interior assembly. Insert and tighten the long screws in place, and reassemble the finished cover. Finally replace the old jam brace and strike plates with the new hardware provided in your kit. Simply unscrew and remove the existing hardware, and install the new hardware in opposite fashion. Tip, be sure to test your locking functions to ensure you have installed the hardware correctly. Now you can step back, and admire your handiwork. Not only is your door secure, and safe, but it looks great too. Thank you for choosing Kwikset."
