Hi my name is Valerie Kevorkian and I'm with Tarpoon Lagoon Dive Center Miami Beach, Florida. In this clip I'm going to talk about a diver gear checklist. Before you even go out to the boat you want to make sure that your dive bag is properly packed so that you don't forget anything. It's real easy to do. You want to have a checklist maybe preprinted so that you can go over it and actually check off what it is that you're going to be taking for your dive. Simple things get forgotten so this is a good idea. You want to make sure that you have your mask and your snorkel. You also want to make sure that you have your fins. Again count that there's two of them. Same thing with your boots. You want to make sure that you do have both of your dive boots in your bag. You want to make sure that you have your BCD, your gloves, any of your safety devices that you might want to use, a knife, your whistle and your safety sausage for the surface, your weights or your weight belt whichever you have, your wet suit. Make sure that you have got all the pieces of your wet suit so that you are not having to be cold or be unexposed. Absolutely you want to make sure that you have your regulator and that your computer and your batteries are o'kay for the dive. Everything gets put right back into your bag so that you don't forget anything. Make sure that your bag is big enough to carry all of your equipment so that you don't have to have things every which way. I also have a dry box that I carry in my bag with safety precautions in. I have a diver tool. I have an extra mouthpiece. Of course don't forget your certification card and maybe your dive tables if you were to need those for safety features. So when packing your dive bag and getting ready for a dive do go over your checklist and make sure that you haven't forgotten anything. This is Valerie Kevorkian and thank you for watching.
