"Hi, my name's Lisa. I'm a hairstylist in Wilmington, North Carolina and I'm going to show you how to braid hair tonight. We're going to do a simple braid on the front of our model's hair using a three-strand braid. Take your comb and you can section out a little piece of hair about yea big, get it nice and straight so your braid is nice and smooth. You can, you can use a little bit of product, a little bit of hairspray might help hold the hair together for you. So we start with three equal pieces, and you can practice on yarn or a head of hair, a friend sitting in front of you. Anyway, basically what you're doing is you're just, you're just lapping one piece over the next, creating sort of a woven strand of hair. And depending on where all the ends lie; if your model has a little bit of layered hair you might want to stop, stop short of the ends. That way you don't have a bunch of little pieces sticking out. And you can go ahead and use a covered elastic for, to hold it all together. And then you can go back in with a little bit of hair spray and just kind of smooth down the little, little strands that might want to poke out. And that is how you braid hair."
