"Hi my name is Lisa, I am a hair stylist in Wilmington, North Carolina, and I am going to talk about how to style a pompadour on a girl. A pompadour was a sort of a fifties style that a lot of guys wore during those sort of rockabilly era, swing era, and it sort of gives a little height towards the front. On girls you do it a little different, because they have a little more hair in the front here. You can do it with short or long bangs, in this case we are doing a long bang. I am just going to kind of back comb the front to give it a little height, and then real simple I am just going to kind of finger curl it, and create a little roll here, and I am going to secure it with bobby pins. And then you can style the sides, and the back depending on the length of the hair, and that is how you style a pompadour on a girl."
