"Hi I'm Warren Cardinal, founder of Lucid Crew in Austin, Texas, I'm going to show you a quick, and easy way to set up an auction website. We are going to use WordPress as the basis for this tutorial. There is a plug-in for WordPress call WP Auctions that is a very easy way to add auctions to your site. WordPress is an open source software that you can install on any hosting account, and you manage your website remotely through WordPress. Once Word Press is installed on your server you can use it to create any kind of site that you like. There's a full explanation on how to download, and install WordPress at lucidcrew.com/ehow. And here I have the WP Auctions plug-in installed. When you get the plug-in it is very simple to upload to your server. There is instructions that come with it so I am just going to activate this plug-in. And once I do I can scroll down to WP Auctions here, and already I am ready to create an auction. So that is what I am going to do. I am going to call this Autographed Watchmen DVD, put a description, in image I can either put an existing URL or I can find an image to upload. I can make my starting price one hundred and twenty-five dollars, twenty-one day auction, Pay Pal, can't pay I have to set up a payment method first. I will show you how to do that in a second. Shipping price twelve dollars, buy it now price let's say two hundred and twenty-five, auction added. So now if I go to manage auctions you can see my auction here. But back to my settings page I can add my PayPal address, update options, and now when I go back to manage, edit, I can pick PayPal, save. So now if we go to the site we can see that the auction is not showing up so what we want to do is we want to add the auction over to the side bar over here. So we are going to go to appearance widgets, we can see that we have WP Auctions that I can drag over to my side bar. If I go back to my site I can see my auction, and I can do bid now and bring it up a nice window that will show everyone else's bids. So let's say i want to start the bidding at one hundred and seventy-five dollars, congratulations you are the highest bidder. So that adds my bid here, and everyone else's bids will be listed underneath here. A really nice little program.
