How to Grow Pomegranate From Seeds

"Hi I'm Stan DeFreitas, "Mr. Green Thumb" for askmrgreenthumb.com. Pomegranate is one of those fruits that are good for you, high in vitamins, antioxidants. It's one of the fruits that a lot of people really like. Now you will notice when you cut one open that it's full of tiny little seeds. Those little seeds can be scraped out. You might want to use the Mr. Green Thumb multi-tool, scrape out those seeds, put them on a nice dry paper towel and make sure that you keep them kind of dried out and level and put them about oh, a quarter of an inch deep in a good potting soil. Make sure of course that you give it good moisture and that they don't dry out. When you're using a good potting soil, you know make sure it's a good peat, perlite vermiculite type soil, something that's real light and friable. Also when you plant them make sure they get about six hours of bright sun a day. Pomegranates are one of those fruits that probably do well with a little bit of scarification. In other words take your little file and gently go over some of those seeds. It will help to improve the germination of the seeds. Pomegranates are good for you and they're pretty easy to grow.
