Hi my name is Tanya Batts and I'm a personal trainer with Gold's Gym. I want to show you a few things you can do with a yoga ball that can really help those legs get nice and strong. I'm going to take the ball, it's a simple move. Ball against the wall or punching bag, whatever you've got. You want your feet to be kind of a little ways in front of you. All we're going to do, you have got that ball right into the low back, maybe a little lower, yea, right there in the low back. You want to lower down and press up. That is working those thighs. You want to make sure that knee is not going over that toe, boom. Inhale as you lower, exhale as you lift. That is already burning the thigh, oh, good stuff. Alright another one, simple, taking that ball, just a forward step and press back. Step way out though to make sure that knee is not going over the toe. Oh it's one leg at a time, pretty good stuff. Okay, that was a lot of thigh. I want to move to the back of the leg, ball on the floor, coming on down, so the legs, you really want the heels to be on top of the ball. All you want to do, upper body is nice and relaxed. Lift the hips off the floor, kind of like a Bridge Pose, pull the ball in, towards your butt, push it away, that's hamstring, thigh, butt working too, good stuff. So that's just a few things you can do with a ball that can really help to strengthen those legs.
