Hi this is Milawna, and we are at Tap Tap in South Beach Miami showing you how to make mojitos. In this clip I am going to show you how to make a peach mojito. What is a mojito? Well a mojito was a traditional Cuban drink that was drank at gatherings on the plantations that were made by the plantation workers. The ingredients usually include rum, lime, mint, simple syrup, and soda water. Here at Tap Tap we are famous for the Haitian mojito. However, today I am going to make you a peach mojito. I am going to start with a ounce and a half of rum. Here at Tap Tap we use Barbancourt, but you can use your favorite rum. I am going to muddle fresh mint with raw sugar. It is very important to muddle the mint well, because the essence of the mint is in the stem. So I am going to crush the stem, and I am going to grind up the leaves. The leaves is going to us a really good color. I am going to add two slices of peach, and muddle it with my mixture. To my mixture I am going to add fresh peach puree, and lime juice. I am going to give it a good mix, and I am going to add it to my rum. I am going to top it off with fresh mint, and garnish it with a slice of peach, and a slice of lime. This is the peach mojito, let's give it a try. Delicious. This is Milawna, and I just made you a peach mojito. Thank you, and enjoy.
