Hi this is Milawna, and we are at Tap Tap in South Beach Miami showing you how to make mojitos. In this clip I am going to show you how to make a pomegranate mojito. What is a mojito? Well a mojito was a traditional Cuban drink that was drank at gatherings on the sugar plantation farms that were made by the workers. The ingredients are typically rum, lime, mint, simple syrup, and soda water. Here at Tap Tap we are famous for the Haitian mojito. However, today I am going to show you how to make a pomegranate mojito. I am going to start with a ounce and a half of rum. I am going to use Haitian rum, but you can use your favorite rum. I am going to muddle some mint with raw sugar. It is very important that you muddle it well. The essence of the mint is in the stems so I crush the stems, and I grind up the leaves to get some good color. I am going to add fresh pomegranate juice to this mixture, and also a shot of pomegranate liqueur. I am going to add lime, give it a really good mix, and add it to my rum. And here we have a pomegranate mojito. I am going to top it off with some fresh mint, a slice of lime, and a piece of sugar cane, and I am going to give it a try. Amazing, and loaded with antioxidants. This has been Milawna showing you how to make a pomegranate mojito. Thank you, and enjoy.
