Tubing is a resistance type exercise that you can use if you don't have free weights. You can pretty much do any exercise upper body or lower body using tubing. When using tubing there are a couple things you need to keep in mind. If you put both feet on the tube you are going to increase your resistance. By shortening the length of the tube you are going to also increase resistance so stepping on the tube with one foot is going to be less resistance then let's say stepping on the tube with both feet. If you straddle your feet out and decrease the length of the tube that you've been working with you're going to be more resistant. You can do your biceps, you can do shoulder exercises, you can do squats, leg exercises, and a number of other exercises when using tubing. The key thing with tubing is again the shorter the resistance the shorter the length, the more the resistance that you're going to be using. They also come in different resistance as well so when you buy tubing make sure that the pack that you by has different resistance for different fitness levels.
