Hi, I'm Stephen Smith, owner of Viva Fitness in Atlanta, Georgia. I work at Urban Body Fitness, also located in Atlanta, Georgia. Now I'm going to show you some exercises that help you make your chest bigger using dumbbells. The first thing, one of the things you need to keep in mind is that you're going to be using greater resistance to increase size. The lighter the resistance, the higher the reps, the more toned and defined you're going to become. So I'm going to show you a variety of exercises that help increase the size or strength of the chest. Find a bench, lie on it, and this particular bench is a flat bench. We're going to start with the chest press. Elbows come down, shoulders back, lower back into the at all time, slowly coming up, two counts down, two counts up. That's a good way. One of the biggest problems people, I find when people do chests is that they go too quickly. All right, chest press, you can do a chest fly, by opening the chest and squeezing in. Think of hugging a tree, coming out, and coming around. Hugging a tree. There are a variety of other exercise that you can use to improve your strength in your chest and create the size of your chest. This one in particular is called the flat bench, bench press. There's the incline bench, where the bench will come up at a certain angle, so if you take this bench and raise it to like, a forty degree angle or thirty degree angle, that is the incline press. You can do the same exercises as demonstrated before There's a decline bench, the decline bench is decreasing, so the bench would be going at a different angle down. Again, you can do a basic chest press, you can do a decline fly. So using dumbbells on those three pieces of equipment, three, are good ways to help increase the size of the chest.
