Hi I am Michael Foreman, I am the head chef at Around the Table in Canvas, Washington, today I am going to show you how to peel grapes. Now it is a time consuming, and an ordeal to peel a grape. So I don't do it that often, but some people do request it. One of the reasons you might have digestive problems. Another is you want something like if you want to smoke a grape you don't want the skin on the outside. And the other maybe you don't like the flavor, you don't like the texture, something. Most people tell you not to peel towards you, but to have more control you need to. Just take a small paring knife, and just get in the top, and just slowly pull down. Different grapes will peel in different ways so some will be harder, and some will be easier. Like I said it is very time consuming. So some grapes benefit from scoring the sides, and that is another way you can do it, and it makes the skin a little bit looser. And that is how you peel a grape.
