Hi this is Yolanda Vanveen and in this segment I'm going to talk about how to grow parsley. It's a great herb that's used as a garnishment and it's so easy to grow. Now parsley likes full hot sun or you can have a little bit of shade as long as it gets the heat. So in these really warm spot. And it won't survive freezes very well so you want to start it after the last freeze. And I always like to even start it into the early summer because the warmer it is the better it will do. And you don't want to be too scraggly or it will be reaching for the sun if you plant it too early. Now when you are harvesting it you can harvest it right away. And it's best to cut it like where it meets other stems. And you can just cut it and use it as a garnishment or with eggs or any types of meats or sauces. And you just keep trimming it back. And my rule of thumb too is if it looks beat up or doesn't look good or it gets fried from the heat, trim it down and as long as it's hot out it will grow new leaves. Even though you think you've killed it you probably haven't. Just by trimming all the dead parts off, new growth will come and you can enjoy your parsley through the fall.
