    "To play a D7 in third inversion with the third in the top voice, place your ring finger on the third fret of the fifth string then mute the fourth string with the meat of your ring finger. Place your forefinger on the second fret of the third string, your pinky on the third fret of the second string and your middle finger on the second fret of the first string. Play only the top five strings and your chord should sound like this."
