Step 1
Grab the YouTube URL from the video of your choice. The video needs to be embeddable, which is shown on the right side of the site in the video information section.

Step 2
Copy that URL into http://www.gifsoup.com form on the main page. A progress bar will indicate how much of the video has been processed by their server. The page will then redirect you to the editing playground.

Step 3
In the playground, edit your animated GIF to the desired start and end time to the proper clip length you want it to be. Click preview to see if the GIF is exactly the way you want it. If it's ready for publishing, then click finish. If not, keep playing around with the times. Don't forget to give it a descriptive title!
