How to Remove Difficult Pink Hard Water Rings From a Toilet

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    First, find an old window screen or a cheap one from the hardware store. The type of screen you use for home windows.

  2. Step 2

    Cut the window screen into about 4 or 5 inch squares. (Now you have plenty for future use.)Make sure the screen is not rusted. Store the unsued squares in a dry place for future use.

  3. Step 3

    Put on your rubber gloves and place the screen square flat over the hard water spots inside the toilet and use medium pressure with your fingers, rub the screen over the stains in a circular scrubbing motion. The rings or water marks should disappear within seconds.

  4. Step 4

    Follow up with your favorite or choice of cleaner and toilet brush. Your toilet should look clean and free from hard water rings.
